I've long time used adobe photoshop, with all the tools, and gadgetry.  Photoshop 7 originally, and then CS6 if I remember correctly, then Adobe photoshop CC.  Now, I went to order what I've come to know and love and I recieve this Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020 (absolute junk, compared to what I am used to) You can do nothing...I mean literally...like no things that I am used to.  Its like a $89.99 version of trash, that all I can look forward to is deleting off of my PC, asap.  Does anybody know what I have to do to find the stuff I'm used to. ie (layers, history, curves, all tools,)

Hi

Photoshop had numbers up to version 7, then six versions of Creative Suite (CS), then became Creative Cloud (CC) starting in 2013. The current version is 2021. You accidentally purchased the wrong application — Photoshop Elements is not Photoshop, as you discovered.

Photoshop is subscription only since 2013. Here are the plans, and you can get a 7-day free trial to confirm it works. The most affordable is an annual plan, payable at $9.99 per month.

So I'm looking at the plans you sent, which I think is ridiculous by the way, but I don't understand why Photoshop/and Lightroom are 9.99 a month, while Photoshop alone is 20.99 a month.  Do you know why this is?  Ohh...and thank you so much for helping me out, I know you don't have to, and that you do, is such a blessing on my part.  Thank you, sincerely.

It does look strange but it is true. The Photography plan as a package is cheaper than Photoshop alone. That is why so many people have taken it.

At $9.99 the Photography plan comes with 20GB of online storage whilst the Photoshop plan at $20.99 has 100GB

Be aware the plan is for 12 months - but paid monthly.

Photoshop CS6 is no longer offered for sale. If you don't want the subscription, you can use Elements. Just take the time to get familiar with it.

There are good tutorials out there: History for example.
