Opacity mask to a group ?

Hi. I am trying to figure out how to make this.

I would like to mask a group with the gradient adjustment layer in order to have a non destructive opacity that I can tweak without needing to use the gradient tool everytime I want to test a type of black or white in my gradient.

Is this possible ?

You could either use a Gradient Overlay layer style on the Group or clip a Gradient Fill Adjustment Layer to the Group (Layer>Create Clipping Mask).

Gradient Overlay layer style (double click on the Group thumbnail just to the right of the group folder icon)

Gradient Fill adjustment layer (put your gradient fill adj layer over the Group then go to Layer>Create Clipping Mask)
