OpenGL enabled document windows

I'm not particularly tech savvy but I'm trying to create patterns using pattern preview in Photoshop. I've followed tutorials found on Skillshare so trust their reliability however I'm facing a problem not mentioned on any tutorial. 

When I click the pattern preview button a box appears (see photo) "Pattern Preview mode will work, but the preview is only visible in OpenGL enabled document windows. " 

I've tried to find out how to overcome this from reading other threads about what OpenGL is but I can't overcome this. 

I've tried playing around with preferences, performance etc but nothing has helped.

Please help!
