Opening a webp file does not work?

According to this post: https://helpx.adobe.com/ie/photoshop/kb/support-webp-image-format.html# I should be able to open webp files directly with Photoshop. I am running 23.2.1 and Photoshop does not recognise webp file formats for importing or opening etc.

Any ideas?

I'm on PC Win 10 and v23.3.1. No problem here. They have added this pretty recently. You may need to go just one version up or something 🙂 (I haven't installed special Win 10 plugins for webp either)
