Question

Option-click a layer in the palette changes the working image

Hello,

I usually work in Photoshop using 2 monitors with the image I am working in in one and all the palettes and reference images in the other.
In the last versions each time I option-clik on a layer in the palette to create a clipping group or for any other reason, the image that is on that monitor is selected and the command I am trying to  perform is not executed.

I have already reset the preferences to no avail.
If I move the layer palette to the same monitor as the image I am working in the option-click command works as expected

    Hi there,

That does not sound like a typical experience, as I just tried creating a clipping group while working on two monitors and it worked like a charm.

Could you please let us know the version of Photoshop you're working on? You can check that by going to Help > System Info?
Also, what operating system are you using?

Does it happen with all files? Could you try creating a new file and test if it works?

    Regards,
    Sahil

    Hi

I work with photoshop 20.0.4, mac os 10.13.6

I have this experience every time I have 2 or more images opened in the

second monitor (the one with the palettes) and I try to option-click on any

layer in the layer palette of the main image (opened in the other monitor)

The option-click always opens the image of that monitor and the command I

was trying to perform is not executed

I have used this command for years and just in the more recent version I

    noticed this problem
