Original Image Contrast changed by Photoshop!

I receive the original image by my client. When I put it in Photoshop to edit the Thumbnail, Photoshop simply changes the original contrast of the image. Making the image very light or colored. I tried to find how to solve this problem on the internet or inside Photoshop but I can not find anywhere. Can someone help me? Thanks.
