Question

Pacmanning circles

Hello all,

I'm trying to cut a radius in this circle, then drag back the points to cut a segment out of the circle, whilst maintaining all of the design detail within the circle minus that certain segment.

Basically I'm trying to tear the circle and bend it around so that I have a gap in the circle, but have none of the content missing from the parts without the segment.

Any help would be appreciated massively.

Thanks,
Will

Hi to make a path that shape first make the circular path with the shape tool.

The use the pen tool to draw the triangle and set path operations to subtract front shape

You can the use the resulting shape as a vector mask

Hi Dave,

Thanks for getting back to me but unfortunately this is not what I am trying to do.

I wish to actually contort the contents of the circle design so that I do have the gap, but that everything within the remaining parts of the circle are the full 100% of the circle. So really I'm looking to stretch or compress the contents of the circle to fit the circle minus the segment.

Hopefully I've made this a little clearer now?

Let me know if still confusing.

Thanks,
Will

Hi!

You want it to look like the black part of your drawing?

Perform similar operations, with the relevant bolean operators.
