Hello friends, can someone help me, I need to use a pantone gradient color in photoshop and needs to be visible in a PDF as an extra color layer. I tried to create an extra color channel and in a layer set the fill from 100% Pantone color to 0%. Now I turned it into a pdf and the coverage is only 19% while it should be 100%. Who o Who has the solution

Spot colour channels are independent of layers. You need to create the spot channel with the gradient directly in the spot  channel, not in layers.

Also note that Photoshop spot channels will overprint any underlying channel content, you need to create a white knockout if you don't want the spot channel to mix with other inks.

Please provide the files.

How and where do you measure the value of the Spot Color in the pdf?

In Acrobat’s Output Preview?

Are you absolutely sure the final product will be printed with Spot Color/s?
