paste in option is not working (alt + shift+ ctl +V)

Please confirm:

• Have you copied pixels?
• Do you have an active selection when you use the shortcut?
• Does it work when you choose Edit > Paste Special > Paste Into? If so, then try the keys on the other side of the keyboard.

If this doesn't help, then please show a screen shot and tell us what is happening besides "not working" so we can better assist.

@JJ: The Mac shortcut is Cmd+Option+Shift+V. We have been given the Windows shortcut.

Are you using a Mac? On Windows Alt+Shift+Ctrl+V is Paste Special Paste Into and seems to work on  Windows 10  version 2004 with Photoshop 2020 version 21.2.2...
