Pattern overlay not working?

I tried to apply pattern overlay to "utside copy 2" , the brown shadow of the text but the pattern does not apply. I would be appreciate if you share with me your opinion of why and how to fix this. Thank you so much

    A bright green overlaid in Multiply mode is never going to show up much. Simple math. Try other blending modes.
