Pattern Preview Faulty - HELP!!!

Ive been using patter preview with no problems for over a year, but recently it started having a fault where it works when you're in pattern preview, but as soon as you go out some of the reflected motifs just disappear! Please see images of a pattern generated in PP then of the pattern tile once PP is turned off. Before this happened I got a fault talking about only working with open GL enabled, I tried a fix I found online which involved going into adobe files on PC and finding a sub-file and adding an item (cant remember it well). The fault warning has stopped popping up but Pattern Preview still faulty. Ive followed every troubleshooting advice found on here also🥺
