PDF dimensions after saving

Hi,

I have a pdf created by a CAD system that is very small. 

I opened it with PS and I made some little modifications but when I try to save it the dimensions are 40x saving it in PDF and 20x if I save it in JPEG.

Is there any way to keep it small? for example using TIFF. 

I attach an example of the original and the same one after saving it using [PDF/X-4:2008 profile]

    What happens when you edit a copy of the PDF in Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Illustrator?

    I added 2 words using "edit" command and saved. 149 KB vs 130 KB original size.
