Pen pressure is gone after latest Photoshop update on Windows

My pen pressure doesn't work anymore. I have updated photoshop and it is now up to day. I have reset the Pref settings but no matter what I do the pen pressure is just not responding. I don't know what to do anymore.

It happened while my laptop (windows) was updating and I accidentally pressed a key somewhere on the left side of my keyboard ( don't know which one sadly ). Then most of my windows disappeared ( pens settings, brushes stuff like that ) and Camera Raw pop up. I couldn't close it or interect with it. I had to restart my laptop and since then the pressure doesn't respond anymore.

I already did the PSUserConfig.txt UseSystemStylus 0 trick but that doesn't seem to work. please help! my incom depents on this 😞

(I put a screenshot of my photohsop work page as attach. If that helps )

Unfortunately turning on Windows Ink is only a partial solution. If you use your pen for resizing the cursor, there's now a huge lag on it.

I think Adobe should go back to the PSUserConfig.txt solution to fix the problem. At least that worked properly. Failing that Adobe should do better testing of their updates.

WinTab support is fixed in the 21.2.3 update.  You do not have to use INK.

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with pen pressure in Photoshop. Would you mind telling us which drawing tablet are you using? Did you install all the pending Windows updates after restarting the laptop?

Please remove the PSUserconfig file you created and enable Windows INK in the tablet drivers. You can also check: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/tablet-support-faq-photoshop.html

Please let us know if it helps!

Regards,

Nikunj

Does  the Wacom  diagnostic show that pen pressure is working please answer the question ask of you. Do not start new threads instead. We are trying to help you. Wacom Tablet Properties About Diagnostics.

I posted how to configure foe INK and How to configure for WinTab.

With 21.2.3 There are just minor issues with tools that need to use Panning.  there an issue in both WinTab and INK support in this area, Pen  pressure works with  both interfaces.  When configured correctly.
