Pen Pressure issues

I'm working on my cintiq tablet, it is doing super weird stuff with pen pressure.  I have it hooked up to my laptop and another monitor.  Whenever I switch to click on someonthing another monitor, the pen pressure just goes away in Photoshop when I come back to my cintiq.  I have to unhook and rehook up the tablet to my laptop.  Then, it still isn't working right. See the attached screenshot. When I try to start painting or drawing using pressure sensitivity, it leaves a big blotchy mark that is the shape of the brush, then the pressure sensitivity works as it's supposed to.  This makes actually painting anything impossible.

I have installed the latest driver for wacom. I have installed photoshop updates.  I have installed the latest version of Mac. I have restarted the computer, several times.  I called Wacom and they walked me through trying to solve it and nothing worked, they told me it was a photoshop issue.  So I tried to contact Adobe and they told me I don't have a subscription and they won't help me unless I have one, even though I do in fact have one through my university! I have creative cloud installed and the latest version of photoshop.  I'm sort of at my wits end trying to figure this out, hopefully someone here knows what's up?

This is crazy. Why will they not fix this???

I (and many others) have the same issue.

Turning off 'build up' in brush properties will take care of the big blotch at the start of some brush strokes. Aside from that, none of the tips offered by Adobe or Wacom take care of the random pressure loss. Several people have just opted to revert to Ps 2019. I hope they fix this soon. It's super annoying.

Thanks, at least the build up gets rid of that issue.  Still having random pressure sensitivity loss but hopefully they fix that soon.  I'll stay tuned.

It may be a dual screen thing!!  I'm not sure!!  I've recently just been using my wacom cintiq pro as my only screen.  A lot of pen "pain in the butt" issues have since been gone!
