Question

Pen Pressure turning on and off sporadically

Last night I updated to 21.1.2 to try to fix the issue where zooming in to a rotated canvas would zoom away from my cursor. It DID fix that problem. Now I have a new problem.

I'm using a simple, pressure sensitive brush (I tried several, but let's just say adobe hard round pressure size default, so that you know it's not some wonky brush setting).

I draw in a very 'sketchy' way, so tons of short, quick lines. While doing this every 20th (give or take) line will just be solid line rather than pressure sensitive. I can actually open brush settings and see the tapered line flickering between tapered and solid.

I updated my wacom drivers, restarted. Didn't work.
I restarted again just for good measure. Didn't work.
I tried a fix someone else suggested where I put a .txt file in my Roaming file with text commands on it. Didn't work, and that didn't even sound like the same problem to be honest.
I checked my cables and even rearranged them to be in different usb plug ins just on a whim.

I'm on Windows

As PECourtejoie asked,  we need to know what kind of tablet and driver you have and what version of your OS are you working on, in order for us to troubleshoot from there

Hello, which model of wacom tablet, which driver version?

So, you deactivated Windows ink with the txt file, but it did not change anything.

Any other software running at the same time?

Is it windows10? which build?
