I am trying to create a custom brush that is a square brush 6 x 6 pixels. I make a selection than go to edit-->define brush preset. The brush works fine with the brush tool but does nothing with the pencil tool. Not sure how to fix this. Thanks
I believe you saved Brush preset or preset tied to Brush tool so to speak. That is (relatively) new brush management. To activate preset for Pencil tool use Ctrl + Alt + click on preset (with Pencil tool active). Is that what are you looking for?
