Performance issues With Photoshop 22.5.1 on Windows

There are 2 major issues with the newest version of Photoshop that I've noticed. Firstly, it's very slow. Images 90% smaller than those I used to edit are taking the same amount of time to open, edit, and save. Secondly, the marquee tools keep glitching. Even when in use, the marquee border vanishes until I scoll a bit. This is a major probem for images too small for scrolling to be viable unless I zoom in. Say it with me... beta testing! I'm paying for this service monthly and I require it to work right so I can do my job and pay my bills. Sorry if I sound angry, but I am. This isn't exactly me just being fussy. These are big problems and I'm not the only one having them.

One other thing to try is go to Preferences > Tools and uncheck "Enable Flick Panning"

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble due to the performance issues in Photoshop. Please try disabling the option to Use Graphics Processor from Photoshop by going to Preferences, then Performance. Once done, quit & relaunch Photoshop to check if that helps.

If it helps, please try: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html

You can also try optimizing the preferences of Photoshop using the steps suggested here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/optimize-photoshop-cc-performance.html

If the issue persists, you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop manually using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2Qzc0K3

Please backup your settings prior to resetting the preferences. You can check: https://adobe.ly/2vNz6FG

Let us know how it goes!

Regards,

Nikunj
