Description: Users are experiencing significant performance lag when editing high-resolution images in Adobe Photoshop CC. This lag includes slow response times when applying filters, brushes, and other tools.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open Adobe Photoshop CC.
  2. Load a high-resolution image (e.g., 300 DPI, 5000x5000 pixels).
  3. Apply filters, brushes, or adjustment layers.
  4. Observe the lag and slow response times.

Expected Behavior: Photoshop should handle high-resolution image edits smoothly without significant delays.

Actual Behavior: There is a noticeable lag and delay in response times, making it difficult to work efficiently.

Frequency of Occurrence: Consistently occurs with high-resolution images.

Impact: Hinders productivity and efficiency, especially for professionals working with high-resolution images.

Request: Please investigate and optimize performance for high-resolution image editing in Photoshop CC.

Thank you.

I don't have problems with images that size on either Intel or M1 Macs.

No issues here, and 5000 x 5000 pixels is not particularly high.

Can you go to Photoshop's 'System Info' and click the copy button, then paste the info here.
