Photo counter at top of ACR window issue.

Because I dont actually know what it is called, I will call it the photo counter. It is the counter in parenthesis to the right of the file name at the top of the edit window. "Somefile.dng (1/28 selected)" In days past it would show the numerical position of the photo you had selected rather than the number of photos you have selected. 4 of 10 etc... is there a way to change this back? I much prefer to know where I am in the strip rather than how many I have selected.
