Question

Photo/layer not showing up in the workspace

I just downloaded Photoshop 2020. I opened my photos on mac, selected a photo, clicked on Image, Edit with Photoshop 2020. I see the photo in the layers panel, made a copy of it, selected it but it's not showing up in the workspace...the workspace is black. I've closed it and started over and the same thing happens. What am I doing wrong? If the layer is selected I should be able to see it.....

Have you tried resetting the Photoshop preferences?

https://helpx.adobe.com/au/photoshop/using/preferences.html

Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop.

Hi Michael,
I will give this a try.....I haven’t been in Photoshop for several years so I’m relearning everything. Thank you for your help!
