Photo shop will not open

Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

 

Photoshop was running fine and then stopped. I have restarted, reinstalled, deleted preferences and skipped loading the optional third-party plugins.

 

It will only open if I use the shift key and skip loading optional and third-party plugins. I have deleted the third part, restarted, uninstalled and reinstalled, and it still will not open unless I skip loading plugins.

 

Please advise. I want Photoshop to start normally.

    Nope, it didn't work. So frustrating


    I used Time Machine, went back to November, and reinstalled ON1 apps and Photoshop 2024; they both work now. I feel like I am being forced to keep something I don't want. I must contact them about removing programs so things don't crash. Thank you for your input.

    Hi @d.bydand, seems like you've done a lot of troubleshooting already without any luck. Are your drivers up to date? If you uninstall/disable all the plug-ins temporarily, will it open correctly without the shift key? If so, you can add them back one at a time to see which one is causing the conflict. Also, please provide your system info: From Photoshop, select Help > System Info, click copy, and attach or paste the info into this thread and we'll see if we can figure out what's going on.

    It will not open unless I use the shift key.

    Thanks for adding your system info. At first glance, I note you are running the Radeon Pro 5300M for macOS, a graphics card (GPU) which is integrated into the operating system and therefore, you can't update the drivers until you upgrade. Photoshop prefers to run on a dedicated GPU with its own memory. Other users have reported problems running the latest versions of Photoshop with this card. You could roll back to a previous version if you were stable there and wait until you can update your computer. It's also possible the conflict comes from running Sonoma. Was Photoshop opening correctly when you were still on Ventura? You might want to roll back there, too. Others may come along with some additional recommendations or settings you can try.
