Photography and Graphic Design Contests

I was looking for some legitimate photography and graphic design contests to enter to build my portfolio and give me some more experience with photography and graphic design.  I tried looking on google but had no success.  Can anyone please point me in the right direction for some legitimate photography and graphic design contests?  thanks.
