Photomerge not working 24.4.1

Hope you can help! I am having a problem with Photomerge. I'm on a PC running Windows 11. I tried using Photomerge first from Photoshop and it just hangs. I tried from Bridge and again Photoshop just hangs. I was using Photoshop 24.1 so I tried updating to 24.4.1. Same problem.

So I followed the instructions from an earlier support ticket and uninstalled both apps, reinstalled and opened each one and then tried again from both Bridge and Photoshop it fails.

I again closed PS and Bridge, reopened Bridge and reset the preferences. I then closed and reopened
Bridge. Selected photos and Tools> PS>Photomerge. It opens PS but just hangs - photos never open.

I then tried quitting both apps. I opened PS and opened each of the images. I then tried
File>Automate>Photomerge and again it just hangs. I've tried raw files, I've tried jpgs. No luck.

Any other suggestions? Thanks for your help. Kc

Testing on Windows running 24.4.1 and everything works fine from Bridge > Tools > Photoshop > Photomerge > Auto with images to process selected in advance. I am testing using RAW files although that should not change anything. Have you tried as quick workaround to open selected images in Camera Raw if you are working with supported file format then to create panorama inside Camera Raw by selecting all files then Ctrl + M.

Hi Bojan, You are a lifesaver! I had not tried that - to be honest I didn't know I could do it from camera raw so I learned something, too! Great work around. Thank you!!!!

I have windows 11 and Photoshop 24.7.0.  There are new updates available, so the software is up to date.  I tried photomerge in photoshop and it freezes.  I've opened bridge, selected images, and gone through the path you suggest.  The last thing I can click on is Photomerge and at this point the software freezes - i.e. it never gets to Auto.  It doesn't seem to matter what I do for the software to freeze.
