Photos and Videos INVISIBLE??? MAC

So for a couple days now whenever I export a video from Adobe Premiere to Desktop and/or a photo from Adobe Photoshop to Desktop nothing appears.

Just yesterday when I was looking to email a friend an image I instantly saw the images and videos I thought disappeared. But when I minimized my email I looked for the images and videos but they weren't present. It's like they are visible. So I decided to email them to myself as attachments and then download them and drag them to my desktop and my mac asks me if I want to replace the (invisible) file that is currently on my desktop. Again, I looked for it but it wan't there. It was like it was invisible.

So I restart my mac today to see if that would help and it did... for a time. Now I am back to square one; exported videos and images are on my desktop but I cannot see them.. HELP!!!!
