Keep getting a "problem with Photoshop 2017" message after I upgraded from 2015 on my Windows 10 desktop.

What happens if you hold down the shift key as Photoshop starts up?

Also do you have any Lavasoft security software installed such as Web Companion?

    Hi

I have the exact same problem.

Failure to start after last CC update. Report has been sent to Adobe according to Window problem  report.

This is urgent as there is no way (as I know) to back to the previous release.

    Hi Magnus,

It's easy to install CC2015.5.2 and keep CC2017 at the same time. Go to my post from November 21st in the thread below to see an illustrated guide. The thread is very long so just look for my name and the date

    Thank You Terri !!!

It's perfect that one can use an older version. I'll be using this version awaiting next update.

Can you also have a look in Windows 10 reliability history and see if it shows any issues at the time of the problem.

Just type reliability into the windows search box. It will show you a history of problems. If you see a red cross at the time of the problem click on it for further info.

If there is an entry for Photoshop double click on it (not on the actions column ) and you will get a Description and Problem Signature.
Pasting that here will be helpful

Your problem is not Photoshop but a piece of malware on your computer that is misbehaving. EasyRedirect64.dll is the faulting module and that is some kind of browser extension. You will need to remove it or neutralise it in some way. Search Google for 'EasyRedirect64.dll' and you will find plenty of references to it. The link below tells you how to remove it from various browsers

    Assist To Remove EasyRedirect64.dll |

The method looks pretty easy, maybe too easy to remove malware?

you'll need to give more information than that Raymond, for example what does the message say? Does it run at all or just immediately close?

The exact message "Adobe Photoshop CC (2017) has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." It never gets past the opening screen and will close the program immediately.
