Photoshop 2020 Brush Problem

Hello,

 

I downloaded the newest version of photoshop, but I notice really strange edges in the brush settings. Not sure what it could be tried turning on and off settings. Its still jagged I checked my roommate that has same version and his brush is smooth. No jagged edges at all.

 

This becomes a problem when doing linework when you zoom out since it distorts it. Please help this is driving me insane.

Hello, click on the "Brush tip shape" title, and check the number of steps, increase it for a smoother result.

steps? You mean spacing? It did not help however I found out that it might be my monitor. Because on my second monitor that is 4k resolution the brush is completely smooth. Then I chang it back to my 2k monitor and its jagged. I will have to mess with my monitor settings see what is getting thrown off.

I see the same problem sometime but if I restart windows, it gets fixed automatically. If anyone can find out a solution that would be great.
