Photoshop 2021 Tool Cursor Bug - Cross Through Circle

Hello,

I have had this issue with my tool cursors (both normal & precise) that shows a 🚫 circle with a line though it.

The cross though circle icon that has replaced my normal cursor tip, disappears once I click the tool on the screen and then reappears when I click off.

I have reset my preferences & settings — this did not correct the issue. I have also tried restarting the program. Does anyone have any ideas on what is causing this?

Legend

Are you marooned on macOS 10.14? or have another system with a more current OS? I suspect this might be unique to this older version of macOS.

Hi Jeffrey,

This cursor bug never shows up when I start Photoshop, but sporadically after using the app for awhile.

I use both a mouse and a Wacom Tablet when working in Photoshop

Does it show that cursor right away when you start up Photoshop? Or does it get stuck on that at some point while you're using the app?

Are you using a mouse? Trackpad? Wacom/tablet?
