Question

Photoshop 2022 and Mac Monterey

I recently upgraded the OS on my iMac to Monterey (12.1) and upgraded to Photoshop CC 2022 (23.1). Whenever I exit Photoshop I receive an error stating "Could not save Preferences because write access was not granted." I have checked my permissions under "Privacy and Security" and confirmed Photoshop does have full disk access and I am still having this issue. Any suggestions for how to correct this?

Any better/different if you reset the preferences?

Press and hold Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) immediately after launching Photoshop. You will be prompted to delete the current settings.

(Mac OS only) Open the Preferences folder in the Library folder*, and drag the Adobe Photoshop CS Settings folder to the Trash.

Note:
The user Library folder is hidden by default on MacOS. To access files in the hidden user Library folder, see How to access hidden user library files.

Drag the entire Adobe Photoshop [Version] Settings folder to the desktop or somewhere safe for a back-up of your settings

Thank you for the suggestion! I did just try this and I am still getting the same error message when I exit Photoshop.

Last thing I can suggest: Try logging into another account (you may need to make one): does it still pop that error?
If you boot into Safe mode (hold down Shift Key at boot): does it still a problem?
Have you tried running a free utility like Onyx to see if that stops the an problem?
