Photoshop 2022 makes my computer restart randomly

My computer keeps restarting when using PS 2022. Some features will make it restart for sure like the object selection tool.

I have an Alien Aurora R8 and it doesn't seem to have any other problems nor does it restart with any other apps.

I have reverted to the previous version of PS and everything works perfectly now.

Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, I also have this problem with PS 2022. I cannot open a file without it restarting my computer.  I have yet to find a work around besides reverting to a previous verison of photoshop. I have windows 10 with nvidia geforce rtx 3070 and processor is intel HD graphics 4600. This is the only software I have issues with, something must be wrong with this version of PS. Also this is happening on more than one machine in my office.

Same thing is happening to me... bought a new computer because mine was getting old and figured it was just time to update... new computer SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED to run photoshop.. even came with a subscription and I can't run it without a few photos into editing and my computer reboots... nothing else make this happen... I'm so mad right now since I have a photography business and need this to work.  I've researched and tried everything and nothing helps... I'm beyond upset... I'm about to start looking into a different editing software...

Hi, please post the contents of Photoshop's Help>System Info... menu, so that we get to know your OS, its version, the exact version of Photoshop you are running, the date of the GPU driver, etc.

Try also to check "Deactivate Native Canvas" in the menu Edit/Preferences/Technology preview (Pc) or Photoshop/Preferences/Technology preview (Mac), then restart Photoshop.
This is not a fix, but rather a way to check if the issue appears only with the new technology, and should be reported to the Ps team.

Go to Preferences > Performance... and uncheck Use Graphics Processor. Restart Photoshop. Does the problem persist?

If this fixes it, try updating your graphics driver and re-enable Use Graphics Processor.  https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html
