Photoshop 2023 - unstable

Constantly hangs to the point i have to force close it. Sometimes when i open it, it loads on task manager, but the program never pops up.

I am on new laptop with fresh install.

I imagine the code of it is just all spaghetti, and every year they make a bigger mess out of it.

I'm having trouble with Photoshop since the last couple of updates. PS hangs and I have restart my PC. This is very annoying.

Try the beta version of PS. I found that it's the only version that works for me. Otherwise i would have to go back to v22.

If you go to Help > System Info, copy it all and paste it in a reply here, someone may spot something.

If you have a lot of crashing, there's a reason somewhere. Usually it's the GPU. Specifically, one very common problem with laptops is dual graphics. That sounds like a good idea, but it will usually just cause conflicts and no end of problems.

First of all, disable the GPU in preferences and see if there's a difference.

FWIW, I haven't seen a crash in so many years I can't even remember when that might have been. That's not helping you much now, but the crashing isn't caused by Photoshop. Other latent problems may be triggered by it, though.

Updated GPU drivers to latest. I can't really open help or anything, it opens up and runs for a couple of seconds then hangs completely.
