I was using photoshop yesterday just fine and now when I try to save a copy it freezes up and this is very frustrating because I can't save anything. I've tried various things to make this work and nothing.
I'm using windows and updates 2024 photoshop.
Is there a way to save a file to my computer to bypass this problem and why is it not working? Any ideas. I need help with this soon.
Hey, @PDMX Jeans. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more information to help you figure this out. Please share the system information from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.
Has this started to happen since a recent update to Photoshop or the Windows OS? Where do you try to save your files? Internal or external drive? Does this happen with all documents or a specific set of files?
As a basic step, try this:
1 - Go to C Drive > Program Files > Adobe > Photoshop 2024 > Photoshop.exe
Right-click > Run as Administrator
2 - Change the destination to save the images If you're trying to save to a folder/location on an external drive or syncing to a cloud.
