Photoshop 2024 keeps freezing when opening in Windows 10

Question

I have Ps 2024 installed on my Windows 10 machine. I have been using it successfully and was creating a new image on Friday. Now, today, when I open Ps it opens but then freezes. Thoughts for how to troubleshoot?

I can see the program, just cannot open any files. Menu items (e.g., File, Edit, Layer, Image, etc.) are not accessible.

Ps Express seems to work though.

@Bryan5CE1 try manually resetting your Photoshop preferences

Remember to backup your settings before doing the preference reset
