 Hello everyone,

I have been using photoshop for not a substantial amount of time (I am quite new) but, I've come across a problem that the options bar on the top that proves the 'File', 'Edit', 'Image' ect are not displaying.

When I hover across with my cursor on the disappeared  areas, options/tabs will appear that are in the option bar category.

I've tried solutions that were given to other people that faced this problem, like pressing F, going to windows>options, uninstalling and resetting essentials but it did not solve the problem.

This is also the newest version of photoshop, 21.1.2.

I don't know if it's photoshop or if it's my laptop, but I do require assistance and some guidance.

Thank you.

Hi there,

Sorry that the menu bar in Photoshop 2020 21.1.2 has disappeared and is affecting your editing workflow.

As you've mentioned that you are not working in Full screen mode and have also tried resetting the workspace, could you please try restoring the app preferences and let us know if it helps?

To restore preferences quickly using a keyboard shortcut: Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop.

Also, make sure that you back up all your custom presets, brushes & actions before restoring Photoshop's preferences. https://helpx.adobe.com/in/photoshop/using/preset-migration.html

Thanks,

Akash

Which screen mode are you working in? Full screen or Standard?

Do you have multiple monitor setup? Does anything changes if you open iamge in Photoshop and view it in a floating window? To float all open images in windows, choose Window > Arrange > Float All In Windows.
