Photoshop 21.x & 22.x lagging
I'm working in a high end photographic post-production studio and we are using Photoshop 21.x respecitively 22.x on a variety of Macs and Mac OS Versions. From MacPros 5.1 to iMac Pros, Macbook Pros etc. They all run a mix of High Sierra, Mojave to Catalina and Big Sur depending on the age of the Mac.
Essentially we all have the same problem which is Photoshop becoming laggy after about a week of normal work. Resetting the Preferences fixes this issue perfectly and without any other problems. Needless to say one shouldn't have to do this at least once a week to make a professional software work well again on high end computers. It has become so bad in the past few months that I basically keep a freshly resetted backup copy of my Adobe Photoshop 2020 Settings on my Desktop and simply overwrite the same folder in my user library to fix the problem.
In more than 20 years of working with Photoshop I have never experienced anything like this BEFORE Version 20.0.10 - in my opinion the last well working version without this issue (and several others tbh)
Adobe, can this be adressed as soon as possible as this never used to be the case before 20.0.10.
I'm not willing to pay for a software that basically makes me use a Version which is several years old as it's the only one that meets my professional standards.
Thank you
