Photoshop 22.5.2 randomly crashes on startup, GPU disabled (drivers are up to date though)

email address: Not sure why Photoshop isn't sending crash reports. I only have one email address with Adobe..

driver: Apparently Windows isn't updating the craphics driver and neither is the Radeon software. There is a newer driver (10/5/21) that I installed, so I guess we'll see if that helps.

Is it possible you're putting a different email address in the crash reporter dialog than what you've used to log in here? Maybe try again when it crashes and be sure to use the same email address as you use to log in here.

In terms of your system info, you do have an older GPU drive and some 3rd party plug-ins.

1. Go to the AMD site and install the latest drive for your card.
2. If you hold down shift when you launch and click Yes to not load 3rd party plug-ins doesn't it launch normally?

@craigd22586536 I'm not seeing any submitted crash reports from you in our system. That would be the best way for us to try and diagnose what might be going wrong. Please submit a Crash Report using the latest version (23.0.2) along with your email address: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/submit-crash-reports.html We won't look at or fix issues for prior releases.

I'm sorry to hear that you are still having problems. A couple of questions--have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program? I understand that you have disabled the GPU but in your upgrade did you instal a new version of Photoshop or the one you had on the machine? And if it's new, did you check to see that the GPU is compatible with the new version?
