Hello! My photoshop 22.5 on Windows keeps crashing. It is strugling even with small images. It just freezes and than closes without saving anything. I just lost another hour of work. It is fast becoming completely unusable, does anybody have the same problem?

I'm not seeing any submitted crash reports from you in our system.

If you haven't done so already, please submit all Crash Reports along with your email address: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/submit-crash-reports.html

The first thing that I suggest is using the Reset Preferences on Quit, which is located under the General section of Preferences.

Losing one hour of work might be avoidable by setting Photoshop > Preferences > File Handling > Automatically Save Recovery Informatiion Every to an intervall smaller than that.

Did resetting Preferences make a difference?

Hi, sorry to hear that. I would start bu resetting the preferences:

Reset Photoshop's preferences by holding down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Pc) Cmd+Opt+Shift (Mac) as you click on Photoshop's icon to start it up.

See: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html

If you do have access to the menu Edit>Preferences (Pc) or Photoshop>Preferences (Mac), it is possible to reset them from the General submenu.
