Photoshop 23.2.1 canvas not updating

Hey all,

While creating 3d materials and using the Filters/3d/Create Normal from a layer the canvas doesn't update once it renders the result.

I've tried....

Disabling 3rd party plugins

Disabling Use Graphics Processor (which also disables the 3d filter)

Resetting preferences

Disable flick panning

etc etc etc

Any ideas??

Mac Pro 2019 16 core

160GB Ram

MacOS 12.2.1
