Photoshop 24.5 (Windows) crashing when using crop tool

Photoshop is continually crashing when using the crop tool and closes the whole programme.

 

Editing 16bit large pixel dimension files with 2-3 layers.


Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12600K 3.70 GHz
Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.7 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch Pen support

GPU: Nvidia 4070TI

Hello,

 

Im am still getting continual crashes when using the copping tool after resetting preferences

This does seem more stable for now though I am done with work fot he day so I cant put this through its paces. I do have a myriad of over visual glitches happeningh though including flickering of the image window both in a floating window and in full screen, incorrect visualbleed of elements form one image window to another and scrolling/panning in one image window appying to antother image.

 

I have been on mac for years and recently migrated my personal machine to windows and I am shocked at the difference in stability between the to OS systems. If I had started on a windows machine I think I would have long migrated away from Adobe.
