Photoshop 25.3.1 Release - Camera Raw Filter Freezes (windows 11 Pro 10.0.22631 Bld 22631)

I have seen posts regarding the Filter-Camera Raw Filter function freezing but no answers.  Problem:- I use Neutral Filters-Photo Restoration to clean up a scanned photo (jpg format). I then open the Camera Raw Filter, make my light and colour adjustments, and then open the Masking tool in order to brush some areas of the photo. However, when I open the Masking tool I receive a large 'Important Masking Changes' notification banner across the middle of the screen which cannot be closed and which freezes the Photoshop programme which has to be terminated through Windows Task Manager.
