Photoshop 25.6 is taking a long time to save files

I recently updated Photoshop to the most current version of the program, 25.6. Since then I'm having trouble saving a file. Whereas the file was usually saved in 1 or 2 minutes, now it is taking more than 10 or 20 minutes. Anyone else suffering from this?

Do you have compression enabled? Those timings are fairly typical for PSB compression on vs off.

Hey, @Cleyton0554. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

I'll move your response to discussions for now. Please share the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload & attach here.

Where do you keep the original PSD? Is it stored on an external drive or in a folder associated with cloud backup services? Does this happen when saving a document with many layers & smart objects?

Try creating a new document and saving it in a new location that is on the internal drive.

Let us know how it goes. Thanks!

Hi Sameer K. After a lot of research, I discovered that it was my SSD that was corrupted and that was why it took such a long time to save the files. Many thanks for the reply.

Oh! Who could've predicted that? Glad to hear that it is working.

Thanks for sharing this.
