Question

Photoshop 3D triangular tube help

Hi,

I'm new to Photoshop 3D and am trying to create a tube shape which is flatter at the top than the bottom - please see photos.

Everything that I have come across so far is a uniform shape, so I'm wondering if it's possible to create this shape in Photoshop 3d?

Any tips welcome. Thanks!

Hi

Photoshop 3D is limited in it's creation of meshes to preset meshes or simple extrusions.

You could make that very quickly and easily in a 3D application such as Blender then import it to Photoshop to continue.

I'm not sure you can make that shape in Photoshop. You might try using Adobe Dimension. It doesn't have a tube like that in its starter objects, but there are a few 3D objects that are very similar in Adobe Stock that are free. Save those to a CC Library and you can bring them in to Dimension. Unfortunately, Photoshop doesn't recognize 3D models from libraries.
