Photoshop 6.0 will not work on new Windows 10 Home (2004 version)

I have been using my original Photoshop 6.0 version forever. It works fine on a computer purchased earlier this year running windows 10. I bought a new Dell computer today, and it will not run. It installs, opens one time and works fine, but then will not open again. I get a message saying "Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable." I am pretty computer illiterate, but I am hoping someone in this community can help me. Thank you very much!
