Photoshop 6

Should Photoshop 6 work on a new computer? Mine did about 10 days ago. Now when I try to open it I get this "Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry but this error is unrecoverable." I'm wondering if something is wrong with my computer or not.
