Photoshop: Ability to cycle through Blend Modes in Layer Styles with arrow keys

One other thing that would REALLY be nice for this, when cycling through using shift and + or -, is if it didn't continually scroll, i.e. it always stops when you get to the top or bottom of the list of blend modes, as I always tend to want to go back to normal mode and scroll through again, but by using this method to scroll through, it's easy to lose track of which mode you're on.

Is it possible to assign a keyboard short-cut to the blend modes within the Layer style panel ?

This pretty much address all of my concerns, although I would still like to see the dropdown act like the other dropdowns in photoshop (change value by clicking and then using the arrow keys).

GetSatisfaction does not allow editing like that.

Not sure if this problem arises on Windows. It Does on Macs.

Small Detail, but very frustrating.

If you want to change the Layer Blending Mode of a layer (Multiply, Darken, Color Dodge, etc.), you have to click twice every time you change to a different style. For example, if I wanted to change the layer style to Darken, I would click the blending mode drop down, then I would click Darken. If I wanted to preview all of the layer effects, I would have to click 52 times! This seems ridiculous. The blending mode drop down is the only drop down in Photoshop that know of that doesn't allow the user to cycle through with arrow keys. You can cycle through Opacity, Fill, Typeface, and any field with a numeric value with arrow keys. Why not blending modes?

I find your comment interesting (about trying to figure out how to edit one's post. I'm really tired of everything changing - it makes the idea of learning this web site pretty futile. Why learn how to deal with this web site when it'll probably be completely revamped in 6-12 months?

You can cycle thru the blend modes by typing Shift + (plus) or Shift - (minus). This only works if you have the Move tool or a Selection tool active.
If you have a painting tool active, this shortcut cycles thru the Modes for that tool (rather than the Blending Modes for a layer.

On PC you can cycle through layer Blending Modes by holding down ALT+SHIFT while pressing plus/minus on the numpad.

On the other hand you can learn a direct shortcut for every blending mode.
e.g:
ALT+SHIFT+N normal
ALT+SHIFT+C color
ALT+SHIFT+M multiply
ALT+SHIFT+S screen
ALT+SHIFT+O overlay
ALT+SHIFT+W linear dodge
ALT+SHIFT+A linear burn
ALT+SHIFT+G lighten
ALT+SHIFT+K darken
etc..
