Photoshop adds *-1(or any other numbers) when I open a RAW file

I'd like to how I could stop Photoshop from adding a -1 (or -2, -3, -4, etc.) when I open a file from ACR or LR.

I searched for hours in Photoshop, Google and in this forum, to no avail.

I'll send unequivocal love to whoever has the answer.
