Photoshop affected by Catalina OS Upgrade on MAC

I am running ther latest Photoshop 2020 (21.2.0).

When I download a JPG from a third party picture library (Shutterstock), my images hit my desktop and then launch Photoshop. or into if already open.

Now they do neither which is annoying as earlier version did.

The 'Get info' of the JPG is set as Photshop default and I applied it to open all images ending .jpg

This has only happened since upgrading to Catalina OS and the latest Photoshop.

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so how do i solve it
