Photoshop Beta Version

Can anybody tell me why my current version of Photoshop (23.5.1) is greater than the Beta version (23.5.0)

I have updated all apps today.  This beta version has always been slightly advanced up until now.

that's just how the beta process works sometimes.

you have the latest full (non-beta) version.

photoshop 23.5.0 went full release last month, so that beta 23.5.0 preceded august 2022.

Thanks for getting back to me.  Slightly confused though.

So, I understand 23.5.1 is the latest production version.  Is there not a beta version in testing that is beyoud 23.5.1? or have I misunderstood this.

there's almost certainly a beta version in testing, but it's not 23.5.0.  and it's not clear (to me) when beta testing for ps is added to the cc desktop app.  ie, there's probably testing occuring before release to the cc desktop app where wider testing can occur (and there's clearly a delay in removal from the cc desktop app of older beta versions)

I've moved this from the Using the Community forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Photoshop forum so that proper help can be offered.
