Photoshop braucht ewig beim Start und Druck

Hey hey,

Great to hear we're making some progress @Fotostube. Thanks for trying in the new user.

A new user will create a new user folder and thusly each app will generate new Preferences, and app and folder permissions will be refreshed.

Printer permissions: If you had to re-add the printer in the new user, it could be that Deleting the printer in the previous user and reinstalling it could do the trick.

Photoshop Preferences: Try restoring your preferences using this manual method: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.

Those would be my two primary suspects, so give both of them a try in the previous user and let us know if that does the trick. Next might be checking/resetting folder permissions for user specific Library folders.

Pete

Vielen lieben Dank!

Hi @Fotostube,

Just stepping in here with a thought:

Is your MacBook a recent M1 or M2 model? And is your iMac an older Intel model?

If that's the case, check which version of Photoshop you are running. In Photoshop go to Help > System Info and look at the first line in the System Info dialog window that appears. It should read something like:

"Adobe Photoshop Version: 23.4.1 20220615.r.547 3121b66 arm64"

It's the "arm64" bit at the end that's the most important.

You will also need to go to your printer manufacturer's website and make sure you have downloaded and installed the most up-to-date drivers for that printer. If you could let us know your specific printer model and the version of macOS you're running, I'll try and point you in the right direction.

Thanks for jumping in to help Phil!

Like you, I suspect a driver issue! 🙂

Many regards sir!

Hi @Fotostube, Is this print delay only with the Photoshop beta? or are you seeing it with the general Photoshop release as well?

Can you let us know which Photoshop version you're working with?

My first suggestion would be to uninstall the Printer and reinstall it, see if that refreshes the print driver for bringing up the Print dialog.

Get back with more details when you can,

Regards,

Pete

Hi hi,
