Photoshop broken by a font

Apparently the font "mad_homie" breaks all version of photoshop. I couldnt figure out why photoshop was lagging. I tried every resolution: thought it was an external HDD issue, moved it to a SSD = didnt fix it. Thought it was a problem with the version of photoshop: installed and tried 24.1, 24.0.1, 24.0, & 23.5.4 = didnt fix it. Thought it was a problem with my computer: tested for hardware issues = didnt fix it. Sent the file to another computer with photoshop = didn't fix it. And a bunch of other attempts that failed.

Removed the font = fixed, no more lag.

For precursor data I dont usually have problems with photoshop, I have a 3090, 64GB RAM, 1TB SSD with 250GB free on the drive, 14TB External HDD with 200 GB free on the drive, i9-10850K, Windows 11. It was crazy that a font bricked the program, it was literally unusable. I couldnt modify the text, move it, it causeed  my whole computer to lag, I couldnt navigate through any part of photoshop or any layer, couldnt use the taskbar (file, edit, image, layer, type, select, filter, etc...) couldnt exit out of the program, couldnt save any file. I had to manually end the program through task manager and photoshop would lag when appearing in my running  programs so I'd have to wait a minute for it to appear in taks manager just to force end the program. Crazy bug or glitch or whatever you want to call it.

@Selena5C95

For completeness with your font issues, here is the help page from Adobe for troubleshooting, including deleting the font cache:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-fonts-photoshop.html

Mad Homie is available for free from a number of places. One site sells licenses.

You didn't say where you downloaded Mad Homie from. It is not on the list of known problematic typefaces on the Adobe Help page.

@Selena5C95 just out of curiosity, I installed the font from https://www.dafont.com/mad-homie.font

The font is working fine for me, no lagging, all options working as expected, running Windows 11 with Photoshop version 24.1.1
