Photoshop brush inconsistency

Wacom Intuos 3

Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

Intel i5-7600K

Radeon RX480

 

I'm having this issue where the brush strokes are jumping up in thickness 

 

this has happening for the past 2 weeks and when I updated to version 21.1.2 it's been happening more frequent. I've tried using the PSUserConfig.txt solution but it hasn't fixed the problem. I tested out on Clip Studio Paint and this problem doesn't appear there.

    Me too. I just got my new wacom Intuos pro m today and found the same problem.

    It is randomly maxing pressure and thickness. I can't find a way to fix it now. So frustrating.
